Caught in the Net is a fast-paced English farce. All characters will be required to have English accents.

Gavin Smith: Age 16; Barbara and John's son; typical
London teenager.

Vicki Smith: Age 15; Mary and John's daughter; smart;
sweet; typical teenager.

Barbara Smith: in her 40's; stylish; very modern in her
appearance.

Mary Smith: in her 40's; loves comfort and simplicity in
her surroundings.

John Smith: in his 40's; always cheery; desperately
doesn't want Gavin & Vicki to meet.

Stanley Gardner: in his 40's; John's best friend; rents a
room from Mary & John; not particularly bright.

Dad: in his 80's; fluctuates between senility, alertness,
and cussedness. Would like an Actor who can do pratfalls
for this role and who can be made up to appear in his
80's.

Additional Information: Please be prepared to list all
potential rehearsal conflicts on the audition form. Selected
readings of the play will be used for the auditions. It is highly advised that auditionees be familiar with the entire play.
