Is This Seat Taken? is a rapid-fire set of scenes that take place in various bars and watering holes throughout the city. With each scene based on a bar cliché — “What’s a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?” “Haven’t we met before?” “Mind if I smoke?;” “One for the road;” "What's your sign?" and so on — a set of actors play everything from bar flies to first timers, from sleazy pick-up artists to frustrated romantics, from hectic waitstaff to rowdy patrons. As one reviewer (honestly!) put it, “If you don't recognize a few of the characters in this show, you seriously need to get out more.”
