Suzannah Hayden needs help on the home front because her husband of 27 years, Gibby isn't holding up his end of the household duties. Suzannah hires an assistant, Beth Bailey. Beth is gregarious, motivated and well organized. In very little time Beth is not only a household assistant but also has interjected herself into Suzannah's career at Carmichael's Chocolates. Suzannah continues to depend on Beth as Gibby's dislike of Beth deepens. Gibby realizes that it is really Suzannah's career that Beth is after so he enlists the help of friends Margo and Hank who will go to any lengths to stop Beth from stealing Suzannah's career before the boss from England arrives to meet her employee in Cleveland.
