Isabel “Izzy” Grossman has it all. An exciting life in the most excite city in the world. Glamour. Gossip. Gherkins? When not pining after Tyler Moss, a handsome author, Izzy visits her grandmother Ida in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Anxious for her granddaughter to settle down, Ida turns to the local marriage broker for help. Although shocked and annoyed by her grandmother’s interference, Izzy allows the matchmaker to introduce her to Sam, who owns the pickle shop on Essex, just below Delancey Street. Should Izzy follow her longing for Tyler’s intellect, charm, and literary lifestyle, or should she follow Ida’s meddling advice and the scent of pickles to Sam?
