Renovation work continues at The Players Guild of Dearborn. Greco Construction completed the work of enlarging the outside door to the clubroom on the south side of the building yesterday (Friday, June 7, 2013). This will allow the company to get equipment into the clubroom to remove the existing floor and install a new one. Piers will also been installed that will be designed to keep the building from further sinking in the shrink-swell clays.
Meanwhile, in the auditorium, the insulation has been completed. A foam insulation was blown into the cement block walls. This should dramatically improve the insulation of the building and, along with the attic insulation done a week or so ago, reduce energy costs at the Guild.
Work on replacing the light bar is scheduled to begin today.
