Work is beginning on the refurbishing of the parking lots at The Guild. In the photo you see Copeland Paving beginning to remove layers or old asphalt from the parking lot on the west side of the building. The photo was taken on May 30, 2017.

The areas of the parking lot that need immediate attention will be resurfaced during the week of May 30 to June 3. The Guild has submitted a request to the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs for a capital improvement grant to refurbish the other parts of the lots.

The crumbling asphalt behind the shop will be replaced with a grassy greenbelt. In the photo, you can see Dave Wood’s mark-up of the job.

No parking until Copeland Paving is through with the job.

  1. Can’t wait to see the finished project.

  2. LOVE the switch to a greenbelt in that narrow space on the north side of the shop!
